Assistive Technology

Technology That Opens Doors

Technology has transformed opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired. From smartphones and computers to screen readers, magnification software, smart home devices, and accessible applications, today’s technology makes it possible to work, learn, communicate, and manage everyday life more independently than ever before.

Our Assistive Technology program helps clients identify and learn the tools that best meet their individual needs. Training may include screen readers such as JAWS and NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack, screen magnification, accessible smartphones, Braille displays, OCR technology, AI-powered tools, smart speakers, GPS navigation, and workplace software. Instruction is hands-on and practical, focusing on the technology clients will actually use at home, school, or work.

Technology is most valuable when it becomes part of everyday life rather than another obstacle to overcome. As clients build their skills, they gain greater independence, stronger employment opportunities, improved communication with family and friends, and increased confidence in navigating an increasingly digital world.
