Web Accessibility Services

Audited and tested by blind and low-vision Alaskans who use assistive technology every day.

Federal law now requires WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance from state and local governments, healthcare providers, schools, and universities. The deadline for most public-sector organizations is April 2027. ACBVI delivers rigorous web accessibility audits, remediation guidance, and ongoing monitoring — grounded in the lived experience of blind and low-vision Alaskans.

The 2027 Compliance Clock Is Running

The U.S. Department of Justice extended ADA Title II deadlines in April 2026. Most organizations now have a runway — but litigation risk under Title III exists today. Here is where your organization stands.

Why Choose ACBVI

  • Lived-experience testing. Our audits are conducted by and with blind and low-vision Alaskans who use assistive technology as their primary interface. That is not a marketing claim — it is the daily reality of our staff and community.
  • Local Alaska anchor. We understand the Alaska context: tribal health organizations, borough government, University of Alaska campuses, and the state’s nonprofit landscape. No national firm can offer that combination of credibility and proximity.
  • Mission-aligned. Every engagement directly funds employment and training for blind Alaskans. Your contract has an impact beyond compliance.
  • No overlays. No shortcuts. We do not recommend overlay tools. We audit against the WCAG standard the DOJ enforces and recommend real code-level fixes.
  • Ongoing partnership model. The audit is the entry point, not the product. We offer remediation guidance, verification testing, monitoring retainers, and staff training as your compliance program matures.
  • Formally trained. Nate Kile holds Deque University certifications in Accessibility Fundamentals, Accessible UX Design, Semantic Structure and Navigation (WCAG 2.2), Visual Design and Colors, and Images and Canvas — from the organization that builds the industry’s most widely used accessibility testing tool.

Our Process

  1. Intake. Complete a short questionnaire and share your site URL and goals. We send a proposal within three business days.
  2. Audit. We run automated analysis and manual review against the agreed scope. Tier 3 includes a live NVDA screen reader pass.
  3. Report. You receive a full written audit report, a prioritized remediation roadmap, and a walkthrough call within five business days of completion.
  4. Remediation. Your team implements fixes using our code-level guidance — or ACBVI remediates directly under a separate agreement.
  5. Verification. We re-test remediated pages and, where all Critical and Serious issues are resolved, issue a Letter of Conformance.
